''U.S.'' on buttplate tang, lockplate marked 1842 behind hammer, ''U.S./Deringer/Phila'' in front of hammer. Barrel is marked with ''U.S./JCB/P'' near breech and 1812 on tang. Condition is fair as converted from flint to percussion, with all iron components a uniform deep brown patina. Lock functions as designed.
